I watched Mugen Train (Demon Slayer Movie)
In the world of Anime, I am a few months late. In April of 2021 Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train was released in theaters. I decided over the week I should probably catch up and watch the movie before the new season was released in October.
Demon slayer is about an "army or Corps" of people who hunt demons to protect the rest of the world from these "secret" monsters. The movie is a continuation of the first season of Demon slayer.
This movie was AMAZING! The basis was about these lower-level Demon slayers (which the show surrounds) going to save a Train from a high-level demon. The demon somehow aligned himself with the train in order to become stronger and drain the Humans life forces. The three slayers were not the only ones there. They were accompanied by a Hashira which is the highest type of slayer you can become.
The demon put them into a sleep which was their "ideal dreams" this scene brought many emotions. For some, the dreams were memories of family and reliving those times. Whereas others dreamt about those who died because of their actions.
In the end, the battle scenes were intense and beautifully animated. The movie was based on the Manga as well adding to the storyline. The movie ended super sad and bittersweet. The slayers watched their idol and Sensei die protecting them against the 4th strongest demon.
Anime movies are often extras of animes but often aren't included in the true aspect of the world. This one however did a great job incorporating everything to add to the next season.
I lowkey wish I watched the movie in theaters like it was made for. When other movies come out such as the My Hero Academia I will definitely see them in theaters.
