Halloween has season has come to an end. Now begins the season of sickness and snowballs. November has begun and the temperature has dropped insanely. Just this morning it was 36 degrees Fahrenheit as I drove to school.
Winter always starts early in Northwest Indiana and this year is no exception. The odd thing is the trees have just begun to change colors. So outside is pretty but freezing.
| November 2nd: Trees have begun to change colors and fall to make leaf piles. |
I mention this because we have just a little over a month left of the fall semester. This is the point in the semester where absences increase and so does stress. Many people will battle sinus infections or colds ( hopefully no COVID).
Luckily for me, many of my classes do not attend or have an "official" final. This allows me to take care of myself physically and mentally in order to continue to do well in all my classes.
Doing well in my classes is highly important in order to make it in nursing. I have received a conditional acceptance but this is reliant on my GPA and class grades following finals.
Sick season adds lots of extra stressors to students. This is between sickness, the cold, snow, car issues, or who knows what.
